2000 United Way Volleyball Tournament Results

The annual United Way Community Campaign Volleyball Tournament was held Friday, June 23, at Otis Service Center. The event was a huge success raising over $3,500 for the United Way!

This year’s tournament consisted of 21 teams totaling over 150 players. The teams were divided into 3 divisions: 5 teams in the Competitive league; 10 in the Intermediate; 6 in the Recreational.

Winning the competitive league for the 6th consecutive year was Safe Sets from Otis Service Center. Team members were: Mark Olthuis, Dan Corbin, Phil Cartaciano, Dang Nguyen, Amy Tittarelli and Rebeca Romero.

Winning the intermediate league was Outta Control from Pratt & Whitney. Team members were: Douglas Albl (captain), Judy Busby, Jeff Math and Jaunice Edwards.

Winning the Recreational league was SM Worm Burners from UTC Supply Management. Team members were: Leanne Dunn (captain), Peter Hatcher, Pavel Petrov, Tia Filiault, Xavier Vorilhon, David Olchumale and Roberto Flores.

Teams were also awarded prizes for raising additional funds. Congratulations to the top fundraising team...
