1998 Tournament Results

The annual United Way/Combined Health Appeal Volleyball Tournament was held Friday, June 19th, at Otis Service Center. The event was a huge success, raising over $4500 for the United Way! Note that Otis, for the first time, will be matching this amount dollar-for-dollar. Seventeen teams participated in the event - four teams in the Competitive league, six in the Intermediate I league and seven in the Intermediate II league.

Winning the competitive league for the 4th consecutive year was Safe Sets from Otis-OSC. Team members were: Frank (Chip) Dyer (captain), Dan Corbin, Mark Olthuis, Amy Tittarelli, and Lisa Hunter.

Winning the intermediate I league was The Corporate Spikers from Otis-WHQ. Team members were: Erika Zupka (captain), Dave Marchak, Jim Defau, Lori Bozza, Ed Schlepler, Doug York, John Jankowski, and Tracy Smith.

Winning the intermediate II league was The Five S Team from Otis-NAA. Team members were: Walter Davis (captain), Louis Sheldon, Tony D'Amore, Jim Siagan, John Dalena, Eileen Bernier, and Holly Stage.
