OSC's United Way Volleyball Tournament

Over 300 participants enjoyed a remarkably sunny day as the rain subsided for a day when they competed in Otis' 21st annual United Way Volleyball Tournament on June 19, 2009. The event, held at the Otis Service Center in Bloomfield, raised $9,322 for the United Way Community Campaign.

The competition consisted of 41 teams with games played on 19 volleyball courts. There were four skill levels of play: 6 in the Power division; 9 in Advanced, 12 in Intermediate; and 14 in Recreational. Many UTC companies were represented in the tournament: Hamilton Sundstrand, Otis Engineering Center Farmington (OECF), Otis NSAA Headquarters, Otis Service Center (OSC), Otis World Headquarters (WHQ), Pratt & Whitney, UTC Corporate, UTC Power, UTC Fire & Security, and Sikorsky Aircraft.

The Otis Service Center United Way Committee would like to thank all the tournament participants, the volunteers, the Granby Grass Fours Volleyball League, and everyone who helped contribute to the event's success.
